Terms & Condition

Welcome to FinBuild. By accessing and using our website, you agree to comply with the following Terms and Conditions. These terms apply to your use of our website and to any services provided by FinBuild.

1. Our Services

FinBuild provides residential and commercial construction services across the UK, including:

  • New Builds

  • House Extensions

  • Home Renovations

  • Commercial Construction

  • Structural Alterations

  • General Contracting

All construction work is carried out based on the agreed scope of work, specifications, drawings, quotation, and contract between FinBuild and the client.

2. Quotations and Estimates

Any quotation or estimate provided by FinBuild is based on the information available at the time of preparation.

The final cost of a project may vary due to changes requested by the client, unforeseen site conditions, material requirements, structural issues, or additional work required during construction.

A quotation does not form a binding contract until it has been formally accepted by the client and confirmed by FinBuild.

3. Project Scope and Changes

The scope of work will be agreed with the client before the project begins.

Any additional work or changes requested after the agreement may result in additional costs and changes to the project timeline. Where possible, FinBuild will discuss and agree any significant changes with the client before proceeding.

4. Client Responsibilities

The client is responsible for providing accurate information about the property and project requirements.

The client must provide reasonable access to the property or construction site and ensure that FinBuild can carry out the agreed works safely and efficiently.

Any permissions, approvals, or information that are the client's responsibility must be provided when required.

5. Planning Permission and Building Regulations

Certain construction projects may require planning permission, building regulations approval, or other relevant permissions.

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, the client is responsible for obtaining the necessary permissions and approvals.

Where FinBuild agrees to assist with planning or building regulations matters, the extent of our responsibilities will be confirmed as part of the agreed project scope.

6. Payment Terms

All project costs and payment schedules will be agreed before work begins.

Payments must be made according to the agreed payment schedule or invoice terms.

Additional work or approved variations may be charged separately.

FinBuild reserves the right to suspend or delay work if agreed payments are not made on time.

7. Project Timescales

FinBuild will make reasonable efforts to complete projects within the estimated timeframe provided.

However, construction schedules may be affected by circumstances outside our control, including adverse weather, material supply delays, unforeseen site conditions, third-party delays, planning matters, or changes requested by the client.

Where possible, FinBuild will keep clients informed of any significant delays that may affect the project.

8. Materials and Specifications

Materials and products will be selected according to the agreed project specifications.

If a specified product or material becomes unavailable, FinBuild may recommend a suitable alternative of comparable quality.

Any significant changes to agreed materials or specifications will be discussed with the client where reasonably possible.

9. Workmanship and Defects

FinBuild aims to complete all agreed works with reasonable care and skill and in accordance with the agreed specifications.

If a client identifies an issue with completed work, they should notify FinBuild as soon as reasonably possible.

Where an issue is determined to be the responsibility of FinBuild, reasonable steps will be taken to investigate and rectify the problem.

FinBuild is not responsible for damage caused by misuse, neglect, normal wear and tear, unauthorised alterations, or circumstances outside our reasonable control.

10. Cancellation and Termination

If a client wishes to cancel or terminate a project, they must notify FinBuild in writing as soon as possible.

Where work has already started, the client may be responsible for costs relating to completed work, materials purchased or ordered, and other reasonable costs incurred before cancellation.

Cancellation and termination rights will also be subject to the terms of the relevant contract and applicable UK consumer protection laws.

11. Health and Safety

FinBuild is committed to maintaining appropriate health and safety standards across all construction projects.

Access to active construction sites may be restricted for safety reasons. Clients and visitors must follow all reasonable health and safety instructions provided by FinBuild or its authorised representatives.

Any liability relating to construction services will be governed by the terms of the relevant contract and applicable UK law.

15. Events Beyond Our Control

FinBuild will not be responsible for delays or failure to perform its obligations where this is caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

These circumstances may include severe weather, flooding, fire, natural disasters, government action, industrial disputes, material shortages, transport disruption, or other unforeseen events.
